The Fund provides senior secured warehouse facilities to established Australian non-bank lenders — we lend to lenders. Your capital supports a diversified pool of these facilities rather than individual loans, and every facility is secured over the originator’s underlying loan portfolio. The Portfolio tab shows the current allocation by originator type.
The rate reflects the income the Fund earns on its facilities, net of fees. Under the Trust Deed it is declared by the trustee for each monthly distribution period, and Class A investors have first claim on the Fund’s net income up to that declared rate — if income falls short in any month, the shortfall carries forward and must be made up to Class A before Eldium’s own G-class units receive anything. The rate is variable and not guaranteed — it can move as facilities are added, repaid, or repriced.Past rates are not an indication of future performance.
Protection is structural. Every facility carries a first-loss tranche held by the originator, which absorbs losses ahead of the Fund. The Fund holds registered first-ranking security over the underlying loan pools, facility covenants are monitored continuously on our platform, and concentration limits cap exposure to any single originator. Beneath all of that sits Eldium’s own G-class co-investment, which under the Trust Deed is subordinated to your Class A units in both income and capital — and the Deed requires aggregate G-class commitments of at least $5 million to be maintained at all times, so that alignment cannot quietly disappear. Capital remains at risk — these layers reduce risk, they do not remove it.
The Fund is open to wholesale investors under s708 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). Most investors qualify through an accountant’s certificate confirming net assets of $2.5M or more, or gross income of $250K or more in each of the last two financial years. Investments of $500,000 or more, and professional investors, also qualify.
The Fund is a unit trust established by Trust Deed. The trustee is Bolt Capital Pty Ltd (ACN 636 202 223), which holds the Fund’s assets and owes its duties to all unitholders. Eldium Funds Management Pty Ltd holds the Fund’s G-class units — the co-investment that sits beneath your Class A units and absorbs losses first. Your units are recorded on the Fund’s unit register.
Only in limited circumstances. Under the Trust Deed, transfers require the trustee’s approval and the trustee may decline to register a transfer; the Deed also contains drag-along and tag-along provisions that apply to certain sale events. If you are considering a transfer — for example, restructuring into a trust or SMSF — contact the team first and we will confirm what is possible for your situation.
Distributions are declared monthly for the period ending on the last day of the month, and paid within two business days to your nominated bank account — or reinvested as units if you are enrolled in the distribution reinvestment plan. You receive a statement by email each month either way.
Two reasons. Months differ in length, so the daily accrual across a 28-day February differs from a 31-day month. And if you are enrolled in the DRP, each allotment increases your unit balance, so the following month’s distribution is calculated on more units.
Units are issued on the next monthly issue date — the first business day of each month — provided your funds have cleared and your application is approved. You receive a confirmation email and updated holding statement from the registry when the allotment settles.
Yes. Companies, trusts, and self-managed super funds can all hold units, provided the entity qualifies as a wholesale investor. Entity applications require the supporting documents — a company extract or trust deed — which you upload during the application.
